Pet Pooja, Power Naps, and Post-Midnight Shenanigans (Production, Ahmedabad Diaries)

After a getting shouted on because I didn’t wear the choice the girls made for my outfit. Although we were running late, pet pooja was important, we went for our lunch, chit chatted and went to the lobby. we had pickup and drop service from our hotel to the film festival venue. We reached the venue, went to the hall, the opening of Ahmedabad Film Festival was with traditional folk dance. Many categories, many filmmakers, hall full of suspense, surprise, and fun-filled. The host were interacting with the nominees/ filmmaker teams. The best part was they also awards for the nominees and not only the participants. There was a Chai break somewhere 4:30pm, and we also a fellow filmmaker from Chandigarh whom we had met at Indore (read the Indore Blog here)             

  Finally came the category in which our director was nominated i.e. ‘Best Actress’ the Ahmedabad Film Festival anthem was played thus increasing our suspense, finally came the time to announce the nominees and the winner, the gang were ready with our cameras to shoot the moment no matter what, the winner was announced Hetanshi not being the one but we were more than happy when we won the nomination award.

Snehi bid us goodbye after the event as she had stuff to finish. We had our dinner, got in the car waiting for us, met other filmmakers from Pune. Finally, back to the hotel, we planned to meet in the girl’s room in some time (for some fun). We went to our respective rooms and I packed up my clothes as I didn’t want to do it on the last minute and forget stuff. Then I went to their room, we played UNO,

played music on high volume (at least unless the noise didn’t reach out). Obviously, the girls had gossip sessions, caught up on life because we had met after 3 months. It was almost 1:00am, I returned back to my room (it was kind of far). Slept a goodnight sleep. Woke up early around 5:15am, slept again, woke up at 6:15am, and finally around 7:30am. Shot some clips for vlog, (vlog coming up soon). Freshened up, checked and bid the room a goodbye. Went to the girls these guys were almost ready. Finally, checked out but had breakfast first.               

For the final time we were given a drop service to our next hotel. This hotel was booked by the girls only (they took good care of everything). It was literally 42 degrees Celsius out there. Obviously, I decided to take a nap, as it was planned to go out only when the temp lowers down.
